E-Board Notes 12-28-2017
-We had the 3 Officers from BSH at the meeting today. Derek Howard, John Raposo, and George Billadeau. MCOFU is proud to have stood by them over the last 3 years. George spoke and thanked the Union for all they have done for him and his Family. All 3 going to DOC HQ today.
-MCOFU has some of the best labor and criminal lawyers in the state. If a member is in legal trouble you can hire the same Lawyers that MCOFU has a the MCOFU rate. Call MCOFU for more info.
-Possible Academy Class is still on for late spring early summer 2018.
-DOC is still looking to Promote off current civil service promotional lists for SGT & LT
-EILB Sign up going on now.
-FMLA, make sure all your paper work is in order before you leave the Doctors office. If you need help with FMLA reach out to Mike Aucoin.
-Caring fund as of today over $85,000 and has helped members in need this Holiday season
-Retiree eye and dental is going strong. Looking to add a spouse to the plan in the next few years.
-Retiree Seminar still on track for March or April of 2018 @ MCOFU
-Next CDC meeting January 26th @ DOC Milford
-Newsletter is at the print shop, hope to be in the mail 1st week of 2018.
-MCOFU Executive Board Elections for Treasurer, Business Agent and VP. Election committee is still working to verify the 17 members that signed up last week.
-Providence Bruins tickets, Will be mailed out on January 8th, 2018
-February 10th, 2018 Texas Holdem Tournament to be held at MCOFU, only 100 tickets.
-2018 Calendar books are Pink for Cancer Awareness and Support/
-Narcan is on order for all mail rooms.
-Investments are at 7% this quarter.
-Health and Welfare meeting with the state this month. Looking at a one-time Gym Equipment purchase and a wellness class.
